Helen Johnstone and Darren Mitchell attended the Medilink East Midlands Innovation Day held at Pride Park, Derby on 15 April 2010 which was attended by over 200 delegates. Potter Clarkson was pleased to sponsor the innovation award which was won by Advancis Medical, based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
We are pleased to announce that Jason Teng has won the 2010 Moss Prize for the candidate awarded the highest combined marks total in the UK and overseas patent law papers.
Potter Clarkson have a proud tradition of success in the UK patent examinations. In eight of the years since 1997 a candidate from Potter Clarkson has won the Moss Prize.

We are pleased to announce that with effect from 1 January, Gareth Probert became a member of the LLP, Caroline Marshall became a partner, David Pearce became a senior associate and Ross Cummings, Michael Pears and Andrew Sanderson became associates.
We are pleased to announce that we have had a very good set of results in recent professional exams.
James Kinnaird, Sheena Linehan, Darren Mitchell, David Pearce and Savroop Purewal all passed their remaining European qualifying exams and have become European Patent Attorneys, and for those who were not already UK qualified, they have qualified in the UK as well because of the European exam passes.
David Winterbottom has passed the CIPA exam and is now a qualified Patent Administrator.

We are pleased to announce that Michael Pears has won the Peter FitzGibbon Memorial Award for the highest mark in the Basic Overseas Trade Mark Law and Practice Paper (T5) as part of his UK qualifying exams.
