Promotions in 2010

We are pleased to announce that with effect from 1 January, Gareth Probert became a member of the LLP, Caroline Marshall became a partner, David Pearce became a senior associate and Ross Cummings, Michael Pears and Andrew Sanderson became associates.

Examination Results 2009

We are pleased to announce that we have had a very good set of results in recent professional exams.

James Kinnaird, Sheena Linehan, Darren Mitchell, David Pearce and Savroop Purewal all passed their remaining European qualifying exams and have become European Patent Attorneys, and for those who were not already UK qualified, they have qualified in the UK as well because of the European exam passes.

David Winterbottom has passed the CIPA exam and is now a qualified Patent Administrator.

Michael Pears wins the prize for T5

We are pleased to announce that Michael Pears has won the Peter FitzGibbon Memorial Award for the candidate awarded the highest mark in the Basic Overseas Trade Mark Law and Practice Paper (T5) as part of his UK qualifying exams.

Many congratulations go to Michael for this achievement, and he follows in a long line of Potter Clarkson exam prize winners.  Thanks are also due to expert tuition from our trademark department, Sanjay Kapur in particular.

New Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Lucy Mills commenced as an Associate in the Trademark Department and
Charmain Saxby as an Assignments Paralegal in the Patent Department on 27 October 2008.
