Our Electronics and Computing Group combines deep technical understanding of physics-based technologies with extensive commercial experience.

In addition to outstanding scientific and legal qualifications, most of the group have hands on experience of research and development within industry.

This provides a solid foundation for developing successful strategies to support the commercial objectives of our clients.

Ray read physics at Southampton University. He worked a number of years for a major electronics company in research and development of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, before joining Potter Clarkson in 1990. He became a partner in 1998 and joins the Board of Management in 2012.

Saiful is a Chartered Engineer who holds a doctorate from the University of Cambridge (Materials Science), and an M.Eng degree from Imperial College, London (Mechanical Engineering). Saiful won scholarships for both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees, and spent some two years in Industry working for a multinational oil corporation.

David read electronic engineering at the University of Warwick. He was sponsored throughout his degree course by a multinational telecommunications company, and spent a year out from university working in a software development department of the company.

Ben read Physics with Computing at Warwick University. His degree included courses on the core aspects of physics as well as networking, computer programming, medical physics, computer architecture, robotics and optics.

Craig studied chemical physics at Glasgow University before obtaining a PhD in solid state physics from the same university. During his PhD, Craig was awarded the JK Hunter Memorial Prize for best first year report, and the Thomson Experimental Prize for his research.

William studied chemical physics at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on condensed matter physics. During the course of his degree he spent a year working for a chemicals company developing new diagnostic techniques.

Janine studied physics at the University of Nottingham, and carried out her final project work in Shanghai on micro-Raman studies of GaN semiconductors, for which she was awarded the Salmon prize for experimental physics. She stayed at Nottingham for her PhD in the nanoscience group, understanding molecular interactions on surfaces using spectroscopy and microscopy.
