David Pearce
David Pearce - Senior Associate

MEng (Oxon), MSc (Management of IP), PhD (Metallurgy & Materials), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, European Patent Attorney.

David read electronic and structural materials engineering at Exeter College, University of Oxford, graduating in 1992. He carried out research into high temperature oxide ceramics at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Materials at the University of Birmingham, leading to a PhD in 1995. David worked as a researcher in functional ceramic materials from 1995 to 2001, specialising in piezoelectric materials. He joined a Cambridge technology start-up company in 2001 to develop and exploit patented technology based on this research work.

David obtained an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary, University of London, in 2004 and he joined Potter Clarkson in 2005.
