Head of Formalities

Andrew joined Potter Clarkson in 1997 and is responsible for the management and development of the patent and trade mark formalities departments, as well as managing business relationships with a range of European and global associates.

As a member of the firm’s patent and trade mark operations committees, he plays an important role in keeping working practices current and efficient in the face of changing legislation. 

Andrew is also a marking examiner for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and delivers the CIPA introductory patent administrators’ course in-house at Potter Clarkson.

 

Education

Andrew read business administration at De Montfort University. 

Qualifications

BA (Hons), holder of CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration and CITMA certificate in Trade Mark Administration

Memberships

Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA)
