Hosted by the UK Circular Plastics Network, organised by Innovate UK KTN and supported by UKRI, the conference covers the full spectrum of plastics and sustainability research and innovation from both academic and business sectors.
The latest initiatives and developments covered by the conference programme will range from legislation, innovation and social change in plastics sustainability to recent plastics-related technologies across a wide range of industries.
Ahead of this event Alice Mortiboy, associate and patent attorney at Potter Clarkson, comments:
This is an exciting time for plastics and polymers. With the new Plastic Packaging Tax coming to the UK on 1 April 2022, and the UK government’s target of eliminating all ‘avoidable’ plastic waste by 2042, GRIPS 2022 will be a great opportunity to see where the current innovation in plastics is at. The conference should also give an insight into how technologies in plastics and polymers can be commercialised and adopted by society.”
Potter Clarkson is sponsoring the Innovator/Exhibitor Showcase at 12:00 on Day 1 of the conference, which will showcase exhibitors, new innovations, technology enablers, support organisations and investors, across a broad range of plastics sustainability themes.
The session should attract delegates who are interested in what investors are looking for and what questions investors ask.
Alice, Jason Teng and Sara Holland will be available throughout the conference to discuss any IP-related queries, including how to maximise IP protection for plastics-related innovations and brands and how to develop IP strategies to attract investment. You can arrange meetings with them through our digital exhibitor profile and the online attendee networking platform.
