2014 has been a very big year for Potter Clarkson

17 December 2014

As Christmas rapidly approaches and 2014 draws to a close we get to look back at a year that has been a momentous one for Potter Clarkson.

The biggest news is that we celebrated 125 years of being in business. An anniversary that we celebrated in September with many dignitaries, clients and friends, including the Lord-Lieutenant Sir John Peace, the Sheriff of Nottingham and the Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Our journey to becoming award winning, top tier Patent and Trade Mark attorneys has seen many changes in that time, as well as being a part of an incredible century that brought us many world changing patents and trade marks. Take a look at our timeline to get a taste of the significant leaps that the world, and Potter Clarkson, has taken in that time.

As we reached our historic milestone Managing Partner, Colin Baker said: ‘What is certain is that for however long Potter Clarkson keeps giving commercial, professional advice, be it for the next 125 years or longer, the service provided will always be to the highest, professional standard.’

This year we were also finalists in two business awards. At the prestigious Nottingham Post Business Awards we were nominated for Nottinghamshire Company of the Year and the International Trade Award. We also beat many other deserving businesses to reach the final three nominees in both the International Trade and Best Use of Technology categories of The East Midlands Chamber of Commerce Awards.

It’s always fantastic to be recognised for all the hard work we do for businesses across the region, in the UK and internationally, particularly as we look forward to 2015 and building on our successes.

So, to all our clients and friends, we wish you a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
