Congratulations to our prize-winning trainees!

23 March 2018

The recent publication of results for the UK patent attorney qualifying examinations revealed that this has been a stellar year so far for Potter Clarkson’s trainee patent attorneys.

Of just 11 sitters to pass all four Final Diploma examinations this year, four of them – Chris Cadman, Fehn Chua-Short, Chris Hartland and Kieron O’Connell are Potter Clarkson associates.  Joining them on the Register of Patent Attorneys is Sara Holland who followed her success in last year’s European Qualifying Examinations by chalking off the remaining UK finals.
Success was not limited to sitters of the Final Diploma.  Our trainees sitting Foundation Certificate exams delivered yet another 100% pass record, with a special mention for Joel Beevers and Stephen Moore, who jointly brought the Moss Prize back to Potter Clarkson for attaining the highest aggregate mark in the UK Patent Law and International Patent Law papers.
“We are delighted with how well all of our trainees have performed this year” said Simon Curtis, Potter Clarkson’s Training Partner.  “It is great to see the effort they have made being appropriately rewarded and is a great advert for the firm’s policy of developing attorneys capable of offering practical advice through involvement in real client matters from their first day with the firm”.
Our trainees continually perform well in the CIPA Qualifying Examinations with many being awarded prizes. Previous Moss prize winners include Stephen McNeeney, Mark DidmonJason Teng, Sheena Linehan and Fehn Chua-Short.
