Awards & Recognition

Alex was awarded a Goldsmith Scholarship by Balliol College, University of Oxford, in recognition of sustained first-class academic performance shown throughout his undergraduate degree. In his first public examination, he received a C.D.D. Gibbs Prize from the University for achieving the fourth-highest overall performance in English language and literature in his cohort.

Alex has a keen interest in music of all stripes, and harbours an especially unassailable love of Motown, Disco, Soul, and Jazz. Outside of work, he can be found running (preferably recreationally); reading and discussing texts (novels, poems, articles, non-fiction, and periodically the inside of bar menus); enjoying good food, films, documentaries, podcasts, live music, theatre, and comedy; and more recently, tending to an ever-growing array of indoor plants.
