Ian has over 25 years’ experience of patent prosecution and strategy in working with small, medium and large companies and academic institutions, ranging from spin-outs to multinationals. He has particular expertise in oppositions and has handled well over 150 opposition and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office.

Ian entered the patent profession in 1990 and worked in private practice in London and Bristol before joining Potter Clarkson in 1999.
