Maria obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, followed by a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Manchester. The topic of her dissertation paper was the analysis of the registration criteria for non-conventional trade marks, with a focus on colour and shape marks, in the light of the New Trade Mark Directive.
She is currently attending the Queen Mary University of London Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice in order to qualify as a trade mark attorney.
Maria joined Potter Clarkson on 30 September 2019 and works in the Trade Marks Department.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys travelling and live music.
