Germany deposits its ratification of the Protocol on Provisional Application of the UPC Agreement (PAP-Protocol).
This is a decisive step on the way to the establishment of the Unified Patent Court after the work had been on hold for several years during the examination of the Agreement by the German Federal Constitutional Court (FCC).
This means that only two further ratifications of the PAP-Protocol are required for entry to the final phase for the set-up of the UPC. It is expected that these two further ratifications will soon be attained, which will also trigger the implementation of the UPC as an international organization.
