Senior Associate - Patent Attorney

A highly regarded patent attorney, Craig has over twenty years' experience securing patent protection for inventions in the chemical fields.

After graduating from the University of York, Craig undertook his PhD in organometallic catalysis at Sheffield University. During this time, he investigated catalytic carbonylation of methanol using ruthenium and iridium catalysts. 

Craig joined the patent profession in 1996 and has gained professional experience from working both in industry and private practice. 

He joined Potter Clarkson in 2018. 

 

Specialisms

Detergent formulations (personal, automatic dishwashing, hard surface and laundry), dosing devices for detergent formulations, personal care, packaging, tabletting, automotive chemicals, and medical devices including spinal implants and wound dressings 

Education

Craig read chemistry with industrial chemistry (including a year of foreign study) at the University of York and graduated with an award from BP. During this study, he spent a year specialising in industrial chemistry at Aachen RWTH in Germany.

Interests

In his spare time, Craig likes to go sea fishing.
