Cameron joined Potter Clarkson in September 2019 and became a partner in 2024.

Cameron is a chartered UK trade mark attorney and a qualified Irish trade mark attorney with extensive expertise in trade mark protection, prosecution and strategy. Cameron has acted before the Intellectual Property offices of the UK and European Union for many years, achieving a large number of high profile successes. Cameron's insights on trade mark disputes and strategy have been featured in a wide range of number of publications.

 

Specialisms

Cameron has experience in a wide range of sectors but specialises in life sciences, automotive and sports related IP work. Cameron has worked with start-ups and entrepreneurs, along with many of the largest and most recognisable brands in the world.

Cameron has also spent time on secondment with a major retailer and brings an in-depth appreciation for the branding of fast moving consumer goods.

Education / Qualifications

BA philosophy with jobs at the University of Stirling, Postgraduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from City, University of London, Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice from Queen Mary University of London, Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice from Nottingham Trent University

Interests

Cameron is an award winning home brewer, having taken a gold medal at the UK National Homebrew Championships 2020, for his IPA "Cheers for Waiting III". Cameron spends his time outside the office sharing unsolicited opinions about football and attempting (unsuccessfully) to entertain his two young sons.

In his youth, Cameron was a national champion swimmer and record holder. He remains highly interested in sport at all levels, despite his increasing lack of flexibility.
