Strengthening the East Midlands’ life sciences and biotech ecosystem: Working together to accelerate innovation, growth and impact
The Government now explicitly recognises the East Midlands as a strategic innovation region with strengths in life sciences, health technology, advanced manufacturing and engineering biology, but the region still lacks the visibility and coordination enjoyed by some of the UK's better-known clusters.
This one-day BioAmass event is a discussion as to how, as those actively involved in life sciences and biotechnology within the East Midlands, we can come together to coordinate and capitalise on our strengths, to build a productive, competitive and recognised innovation cluster in our region that can accelerate regional growth.
Open to biotech and life sciences company leaders, founders, investors, academia including students, government and the wider innovation ecosystem, we’ll explore why the East Midlands has been highlighted and, more importantly, what practically we need to do to create a sustainable platform from which to grow exciting new ideas into exciting new internationally impactful but regionally located businesses, not only in life sciences and biotechnology/engineering biology, but also in the closely related areas of medtech and clean technologies.
