This year, Potter Clarkson had the pleasure of meeting future talent at three major career events in Sweden and the UK.

These fairs gave us the chance to connect with students and professionals who are eager to learn more about intellectual property and its role in driving innovation.

  • 21 November: CHaSE (careers in health and science exposition), Stockholm

Organised by Karolinska Institutet, CHaSE has become an important meeting point where academia and industry come together, giving students, postdocs and professionals the chance to explore career paths and make valuable connections. Our team is on hand to meet talented individuals who shape the future of healthcare. Anyone curious about protecting ideas, navigating patents or understanding the role of intellectual property in life sciences can speak to us.

  • 25 November: Nottingham Law School Law Fair, Nottingham

Hosted at Nottingham Trent University, the Nottingham Law School Law Fair brought together leading law firms and aspiring legal professionals. The event offered students the opportunity to explore career options, ask questions and network with employers.

  • 3 December: Medicon Village Life Science Career Day, Lund

The event was hosted by Medicon Village together with the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University and welcomed master’s students, PhD candidates and postdocs who are considering careers in the life sciences industry. It offered a full day of inspiring talks and practical sessions covering topics such as the life science labour market and the skills needed to succeed. Our own Daniel Madriz Sørensen, Trainee Patent Attorney, spoke about intellectual property and explained why it is essential for protecting innovation and supporting research.

These fairs gave us the chance to connect with students and professionals who are passionate about learning how intellectual property can help turn ideas into reality. It was a pleasure to meet so many bright minds, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2026!
