Andreas Lauge Christensen
Andreas works primarily in the life sciences sector, supporting early-stage businesses from inception through the early rounds of fundraising to becoming established companies. With a cross-disciplinary background, he has a strong ability to spot and convert complex innovations into valuable intellectual property (IP).
Andreas is known for his easy-going and down-to-earth nature, which helps him build strong and trusted relationships with clients. He is especially motivated to work with companies making a positive difference in the world, from advancing treatments in women’s health to developing sustainable technologies in agriculture and food science.
Andreas supports start-ups through their first IP decisions, helping shape strategies that prepare them for investment and future growth. Through extensive practice, he has developed expertise in patent database searches to build a clear picture of the IP landscape. How We Live Our Values: Collaboration
Nobody can be an expert in everything, and we all need support to reach our full potential. The best results come through collaboration, so I dedicate time in both my personal and professional life to help those around me.
I take part in our Inclusivity Group because I believe in the strength of a diverse team. I also invest time in getting to know my clients, because being a trusted partner, rather than just a consultant, leads to better outcomes and a more rewarding experience for everyone.
In My Own Words
I can’t think of an academic background that would have prepared me better for life as a patent attorney. I’ve always enjoyed working across different scientific fields, and that variety still energises me. I always say no innovation is too niche, and I enjoy the challenge of helping bring even the most complex ideas to light.
That’s what makes the work so rewarding. I take pride in supporting innovators as they turn their ambitions into real-world products, especially when their inventions have the potential to benefit us all.
It’s something I even talk about at home. When my children ask what I do, I usually say I work with inventions, but that they’re secret. That always sparks their curiosity. Deep down, I’m hoping those inventions succeed, because it means they’ll be out in the world, known and used by many.
