Edwina FitzHugh

Edwina FitzHugh

Senior Associate - Trade Mark Attorney

With a strong business and commercial background, Edwina manages the trade mark portfolios for a variety of clients, from start-ups to large international companies.

This includes overseeing all the UK, EU and foreign oppositions, dealing with Registry objections arising in each country, advising on multi-jurisdictional clearance searches and negotiating settlements. Edwina also has a particular interest in global anti-counterfeiting work and regularly advises clients on how best to protect themselves against mounting counterfeiting activity and the associated reputational and financial impact this has.

As well as managing the portfolio of one of Potter Clarkson’s flagship clients, Edwina is heavily involved in helping the creative industries in the UK, especially advertising and marketing agencies (an interest born out of time spent working in ad agencies in London and Paris). Edwina regularly runs free IP clinics for small businesses in the UK and she particularly enjoys finding out how a very wide range of businesses work - everything from jewellers to hay makers and specialist cycling gear.

Edwina joined Potter Clarkson in April 2018.
