Pippa is a UK and European patent attorney specialising in the life sciences field, with a broad range of experience including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, the management of global patent portfolios and freedom to operate analysis. Pippa has a particular interest in advising on IP strategy and portfolio development and management to support commercial goals.

Pippa has experience working with SMEs, international companies, academic researchers and spin-outs across a range of technologies.

Pippa joined Potter Clarkson’s biotechnology and pharmaceuticals team in 2015 following her degree, where she undertook summer research placements at the John Innes Centre, Norwich and the Sainsbury Laboratory, Cambridge. Her final year research project investigated the dynamics of sigma factor expression in the general stress response of Bacillus subtilis.

Education

Pippa obtained a first-class master’s degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2014, specialising in plant sciences in her third year and in systems biology in her final year.

In her spare time, Pippa enjoys running, baking, travelling and walking.
