BSc (Hons), PhD,
Kevin obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Medical Biochemistry with Industrial Placement from the University of Manchester in 2011. After graduation, Kevin worked with the University of Auckland before returning to Manchester to complete a PhD in Immunology, graduating in 2016.
Before joining Potter Clarkson, Kevin researched the use of small interfering RNA as a therapeutic option for respiratory diseases during a year-long placement with GSK. In Auckland, Kevin researched the subsets of antigen presenting cells in human lymph nodes. During his PhD, he studied the importance of anti-inflammatory signalling in T-cells within the context of inflammatory bowel disease. He also conducted a sabbatical collaborating between San Francisco General Hospital and the University of California, San Francisco, building algorithms for meta-analyses of patient data. Upon finishing his PhD, Kevin returned to GSK to work in assay development within the Asthma-Inflammation group.
Kevin joined Potter Clarkson in June 2018 and works in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals team.
Outside of work, Kevin has an avid interest in video gaming at a social and competitive level. He also enjoys playing badminton, the piano, and composing music.
