Stephen is an accredited Trade Mark and Design litigator with a right of audience in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) and the right to conduct litigation in the High Court. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (FCITMA).
Stephen obtained degrees in English from the University of Oxford in 1977 and Law, including an LLM in European Union Commercial Law, from the University of Leicester in 2001. He has been a qualified UK and European Trade Mark Attorney since 1981 and joined Wildbore & Gibbons in 1993, which subsequently became part of Potter Clarkson LLP on 1 September 2018. Prior to joining Wildbore & Gibbons, Stephen gained valuable industry experience with Turner & Newall and Thorn EMI. He moved into private practice in 1983.
