Tom studied Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham and graduated with a first-class honours degree. He subsequently attended the University of Cambridge, leaving with an MPhil and PhD in Biochemistry and Physiology. His PhD thesis focused on the dietary constituent, nitrate, and its role in the control of oxygen delivery to tissues and subsequent use.
Following completion of his PhD, Tom worked in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge as a post-doctoral research associate. His project involved investigating the metabolic basis of obesity and diabetes and involved the use of mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, cell culture systems and molecular biology.
Tom joined Potter Clarkson in August 2018 and works in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals teams.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys driving, reading, walking and playing piano and guitar.
