Ethan Silverstone

Trainee Patent Attorney

Ethan joined Potter Clarkson’s London office in 2021. He has experience at the cutting edge of industry, having worked in the aerodynamics department of Renault F1 Team and on radar development at MBDA Missile Systems.

During his studies at the University of Cambridge, Ethan specialised in mechanical engineering, aerodynamics, and control systems theory. His final year project, developing high-manoeuvrability open-loop control systems for quadcopter drones, was marked First-class.

Awards & Recognition

Ethan was awarded the James Clayton Undergraduate Scholarship by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers for his academic performance. While at university, he received Exhibition Prizes for his academic performance in his first, third and fourth year.

Interests

In his free time, Ethan enjoys reading and developing his language skills. He also enjoys playing squash, bouldering and Formula 1.
