With over 17 years’ experience, Jodie is a trade mark paralegal who specialises in trade mark prosecution and portfolio management. She plays a key role in supporting the trade mark team and its strategic approach to securing and protecting trade mark rights across a broad range of industries.
Jodie plays a vital role in the day-to-day management and protection of clients’ intellectual property (IP) rights. She works closely with attorneys, clients and international agents to ensure the accurate and timely handling of trade mark matters. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing forms, managing deadlines, and liaising with clients and IP offices to ensure the efficient progression of matters.
By taking ownership of key administrative and procedural tasks, she enables fee earners to focus on strategic advisory work. She contributes to the wider delivery of IP services by helping safeguard clients’ brands, reduce legal risk and maintain compliance across jurisdictions. Jodie is known for her attention to detail, strong organisational skills and commitment to client service, making her a valued part of both the trade mark team and the wider firm.

In My Own Words
I started my career straight out of further education and knew early on that I wanted a role where I could stay organised, work with interesting subject matter and support others in a meaningful way. After completing my training at Pitman Training College, I was introduced to the world of intellectual property, and trade marks really stood out. The idea of helping protect brands and creativity was something I found genuinely interesting.
What began as a curiosity has become a career I genuinely enjoy. I love the mix of structure and variety that trade mark work offers. Every day is different, but the attention to detail and client focus remain constant. It's rewarding to know that the work I do plays a part in helping businesses safeguard their assets and identity.
